PRACTICE FOR TONIGHT IS CANCELED DUE TO THE FIELD CONDITIONS
This season will no doubt be talked about for years to come with all our cancellations. We were on the fields today and they just won't hold up to an MHC practice until they dry out a little more. We appreciate everyone's patience.
Go take advantage of the weather with a light puc around (LPA) or some wall ball. Check the MHC's facebook "Puc Around Posts" group as well for opportunities in your area.
Fitting substitute of an evening since the Bucks game is on as well. Head to Ale House after your puc arounds to catch the game and enjoy round robin. Have a great Memorial Day weekend, and remember that there are no matches on this Sunday due to the holiday. ... See MoreSee Less
ADULT & YOUTH MATCHES ARE CANCELED TOMORROW! GO TO HURLING FOR HOUNDS INSTEAD!!
The fields (actual picture included) are a literal swamp at the moment with more rain on the way. So with the field conditions, thunderstorms and potential lightning we are going to keep us off the fields tomorrow unfortunately.
That doesn't mean that the day is lost though. Please make the effort to come out to Three Lions Pub starting at 3:00 pm for the MHC Hurling For Hounds fundraiser with Canine Cupids! The Bucks game will be on at 6 pm and we promise you'll still be able to make your Game of Thrones (or just record it since we do live in the 21st century). ... See MoreSee Less
We imagine this is what it would look like if we tried to get on the fields tonight. - PRACTICE IS CANCELED. ROUND ROBIN @ SPITFIRE's ON STATE INSTEAD
If we have any hope of playing matches on our pitch this Sunday (which is also looking sketchy due to the forecast for rain) we are going to have to stay off the pitch tonight. Head to Spitfire's on State for the round robin at 6:00 instead (5018 W. State).
In the meantime, take advantage of the "Puc Around Posts" group created by the club on facebook to find people who are hitting around outside of practices.
I think this might be my fault. I am about 94% certain that I am, currently, cursed??? A lot of bizarre happenings have been happening.
Does anyone have some sage they can bring to the pitch on Sunday?
